On Midsummer's Day evening around 19:00, a wolf that had been hunted in Bollnäs municipality was finally shot.

The hunt had been authorized by the County Administrative Board over a week ago.

The decision was made after several sheep were attacked and killed by the wolf in the Hällbo/Kilafors area.

In total, about 15 animals were lost.

The protective hunt is now called off.
