The County Administrative Board of Gävleborg has authorized a protective hunt for a wolf in Bollnäs municipality.
This decision follows three attacks on sheep within a close vicinity.
The hunt will target one specific wolf and is limited to an area near Hällbo and Kilafors in Hälsingland.
The hunt will continue until July 5 unless the wolf is captured or killed before then.
According to the authorities, there are no suitable alternatives to prevent further attacks on livestock in the region.
