The County Administrative Board of Östergötland has initiated a protective hunt following three wolf attacks on sheep in Tjällmo, near Motala.
The latest attack happened on Tuesday, leading to one sheep's death and the euthanization of four others due to their injuries.
The board had previously reported wolf attacks on May 22 and June 3. A decision for protective hunting was made on June 4, set to commence if further attacks occurred.
Despite shots being fired at the wolf on Tuesday night, a site investigation confirmed that the wolf was not hit.
