Residents from Karlskrona up to Västerås need to brace for heavy rainfall this Friday.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in parts of eastern Götaland and eastern Svealand.

Expect 30 to 60 millimeters of rain, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Flooding in basements, stormwater systems, and underpasses is likely, and traffic may be affected.

Hail may also occur in some areas.
