The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain starting from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM today.

The downpour, expected to bring 30-50 millimeters of rain, could lead to significant flooding in Västra Götaland, Östergötland, Sörmland, and the Stockholm area.

Thunderstorms and strong winds are also anticipated.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, especially those in flood-prone areas.

Authorities urge caution for travelers and those with basements to safeguard valuables.
