The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in western parts of Götaland and Svealand starting from noon on Friday.

The warning covers Halland, northern Skåne, central Bohuslän, Västergötland, and Jönköping.

Warm air in the afternoon and evening may lead to thunderstorms with heavy rain and possible hail, potentially bringing around 40 mm of rain in a short time.

Similar warnings are also in place for Western Svealand and parts of Härjedalen, including areas from central Närke and Västmanland to northeastern Värmland, Dalarna, and Härjedalen.
