The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning for potential heavy rainfall on Monday in parts of southwestern Svealand and northern Götaland.

Areas including Falun, Hedemora, Ludvika, Fagersta, Karlstad, Örebro, Skövde, and Trollhättan could experience up to 40 millimeters of rain in a short period.

This heavy rain could lead to flooding on roads and overwhelm drainage systems and basements.

The warm and unstable air currently over the region is causing these intense showers.

The warning is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM on Monday.
