The space journey for Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt, originally planned on Wednesday night, was postponed due to a parachute system error.
The launch from Kennedy Space Center in Florida has now been moved to the following day.
Wandt, 43, from Mora but raised outside Karlstad, will become the third Swede in space.
Before the launch, he discussed the dangers and safety measures of the mission with his children.
Wandt, a former combat pilot, was selected as a reserve astronaut by the European Space Agency (ESA) in November 2022. Only seven months later, he was asked if he wanted to go to the International Space Station (ISS).
