Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt is set to embark on a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on January 17th.
Prior to the launch, Wandt and the rest of the crew have entered quarantine to ensure no diseases are carried to the ISS.
The quarantine period will also include final preparations and briefings, along with final medical tests.
Wandt, a former combat pilot and chief test pilot for Saab, is the third Swede to explore space.
His journey to the ISS is part of a two-week mission to conduct Swedish and international research in zero gravity.
