In Gamla stan, Stockholm, almost half of the existing parking spaces have been removed.
These spaces have been replaced by benches and flowerbeds as part of a new urban environment zone.
The aim is to create a livelier area with decreased emissions and noise from traffic.
While some residents welcome the change, local businesses and some individuals have expressed concerns.
Strict limits on motor vehicle access are also being implemented to support this transformation.
