On Monday morning, a warning for torrential rain was extended to the southwestern parts of Jönköping County, large parts of Västra Götaland, and parts of Halland.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) warns of torrential rain and the risk of flooding.

Heavy rainfall is expected on Monday, with SMHI issuing a yellow warning for torrential rain over much of the southern half of the country.

The rain could lead to flooding in traffic areas, basements, and stormwater systems.

The affected areas include northern and southwestern parts of Jönköping County, large parts of Västra Götaland County, Värmland County, Halland County, southern Dalarna County, Örebro County, and western Östergötland County.
