The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued yellow warnings for sudden ice formation in southern Norrland.

In central Jämtland, rain or freezing rain is expected on Friday morning, posing a risk of sudden ice.

The same warning applies to the afternoon in the central parts of southern Norrland.

Similar alerts have been issued for the coastal areas of southern Västernorrland and northern Gävleborg.

Residents are advised to exercise caution as these conditions can lead to hazardous travel situations.
