The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning for sudden ice formation across large parts of Norrland, Sweden.
This warning is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday morning.
As a rain system moves eastward, it will be followed by colder temperatures and dry air, increasing the risk of rapid freezing and slippery roads.
SMHI advises drivers to exercise caution and adjust their speed to the road conditions.
Travelers should also anticipate potential delays or cancellations in public transport.
The warning covers areas from the Riksgränsen in the north, including most of Norrbotten and Västerbotten, as well as significant parts of Jämtland and Västernorrland.
