Sweden is bracing for severe winter weather as SMHI issues multiple warnings for snow, ice, and strong winds.

Starting Tuesday night, heavy rain will move into central Sweden, transitioning to snow by early Wednesday, with up to 10 centimeters expected in some areas.

A yellow warning for icy roads has been issued for parts of Svealand and southern Norrland, urging drivers to adjust their speed.

Meanwhile, an orange warning is in place for southern and northern Lapland, where heavy snow and winds up to 25 m/s will create dangerous conditions from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.

Authorities advise against unnecessary travel in affected areas, citing poor visibility and a high risk of frostbite.
