SMHI has issued yellow warnings for heavy rainfall and potential flooding in southern and eastern Götaland, as well as Gotland, for the upcoming weekend.

A low-pressure system moving in from the south is expected to bring intense downpours, with 30-60 millimeters of rain forecasted in affected areas.

The storms, accompanied by strong winds and possible thunderstorms, are set to hit Skåne first on Saturday morning before spreading northward.

Meteorologists warn of an increased risk of flooding, especially in regions like Jönköping that were already hard-hit by recent storms.

Residents are urged to stay alert as the heavy rains could overwhelm drainage systems and flood basements, roads, and viaducts.
