SMHI has issued a yellow warning for northeastern Svealand and Gästrikland due to expected heavy rain, thunder, hail, and strong winds.

Up to 40 millimeters of rain is predicted for the afternoon, potentially causing floods in Uppsala, Falun, and Gävle.

The severe weather may also lead to traffic disruptions and overwhelmed drainage systems.

In Västsverige, similar conditions caused extensive flooding and road closures on Wednesday, with Trollhättan's emergency services receiving over 30 flood-related calls within an hour.
