Train services between Nässjö C and Alvesta have been halted due to icy conditions on power lines and an electrical fault.
Seven trains heading to Stockholm, Linköping, and Malmö were affected, forcing passengers to return to nearby stations.
Replacement buses are being arranged to transport travelers to their destinations.
According to Bengt Olsson from Trafikverket, contractors are working overnight to clear the ice from the lines.
The icy weather has also caused challenges on roads in Värmland and Dalsland, with all available resources deployed to manage the situation.
However, predicting where help is most needed remains a challenge.
