Due to severe winter weather and vehicle shortage, Swedish national train operator SJ has cancelled numerous departures, primarily on routes between the major cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.
The weather has caused problems such as frozen switches and tracks, and even forced the evacuation of two SJ trains due to frozen brakes.
This situation is expected to continue for the next two weeks.
The company is hopeful that the situation will improve as temperatures are expected to rise, but they cannot rule out more cancellations.
