Train services between Stockholm and Gothenburg have been severely disrupted due to ice on power lines near Laxå.
While one track reopened Thursday morning, others remain closed, causing delays and cancellations.
SJ, the train operator, blames the ice for cutting power to trains, while Trafikverket, the transport authority, insists one track is passable.
Crews are manually removing the ice, a slow process due to its thickness.
With freezing temperatures expected to persist, normal operations may take time to resume.
Regional trains and buses are being used to manage the situation.
