SMHI has issued warnings for heavy thunderstorms and rain showers on Monday afternoon and evening.

Up to 40 millimeters of rain is expected in parts of northern Götaland and southwestern Svealand.

The yellow warning, active from 1 PM, covers an area from Falun in the north, Linköping, the Norwegian border, and Jönköping in the south.

The heavy showers could cause flooding in urban areas, basements, underpasses, parking lots, and roads, potentially slowing traffic.

Rain will move northward but will gradually weaken, though showers may still occur in Götaland.
