A new EU report reveals that fewer LGBTQI individuals in Sweden feel discriminated against compared to previous years.
The survey, conducted by the EU's Agency for Fundamental Rights, included over 100,000 respondents, with 2,500 from Sweden.
In Sweden, 21% reported experiencing discrimination in 2023, down from 32% in 2019. While this marks an improvement, one in five LGBTQI individuals in Sweden still faced discrimination last year.
Activists urge continued efforts for equality despite the positive trend.
