The decision to permit protective wolf hunting in the Söderåsen territory has been overturned following an appeal, Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.
Initially, the Skåne County Administrative Board had approved the hunt after a sheep was killed last week, adding to two more attacks this summer.
The new guidelines from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency seemed to support this decision.
However, the Administrative Court in Luleå ruled that agency guidelines are not mandatory law, pointing to legal precedents that require at least four attacks for such a decision.
This ruling can be appealed to the Administrative Court of Appeal.
