Nine regions in Sweden face potential fines of 10 million kronor each as the Swedish Competition Authority (Konkurrensverket) takes them to court over alleged irregularities in the procurement of a new healthcare journal system.
The regions are accused of making significant changes to the requirements during the procurement process, prompting the authority's assertion that a new procurement should have been initiated.
The affected regions include Örebro, Blekinge, Sörmland, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Dalarna, Halland, Gävleborg, and Norrbotten.
