A significant snowstorm is set to disrupt traffic across parts of Sweden, with a yellow warning issued for heavy snowfall in regions including Dalarna, Västmanland, and parts of Värmland.
Meteorologist Lasse Rydqvist from Klart warns of 5 to 10 centimeters of snow expected from Monday evening through Tuesday, accompanied by strong winds that could impair visibility and complicate travel.
The eastern parts of Svealand, including Stockholm, Uppsala, and Södermanland, are also under a yellow warning, with snowfall anticipated to peak during Tuesday's rush hour, potentially causing severe traffic disruptions.
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) advises travelers to allow extra time for their journeys and adjust their speeds due to the risk of icy roads and poor visibility.
Public transport may also face delays and cancellations.
As the cold air persists, northern Sweden is expected to experience temperatures dropping to minus 20 degrees Celsius by Wednesday morning.
