Rasmus Paludan, a far-right politician, has been charged with incitement against a group of people following his controversial Quran burnings in Malmö in 2022. The charges include two counts of incitement against a group and one count of insult.
The incidents occurred in April and September, where Paludan allegedly wrapped bacon around a Quran before setting it on fire, and made derogatory remarks about Muslims and people of foreign descent.
Senior prosecutor Adrien Combier-Hogg stated that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with the case, which will now be reviewed by the district court.
Paludan has denied the allegations and has not made any public comments regarding the charges.
