The Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet) has announced a strike for 3,900 of its members after failing to reach an agreement with employers' organizations Sobona and SKR.
The overtime blockade that began on April 25 continues.
Region Stockholm warns that the strike poses a threat to public health, potentially affecting cancer patients, children, heart patients, and stroke patients.
However, Vårdförbundet's chairperson, Emma Johannsson, insists that the strike notice has been issued with care.
