Approximately 63,000 members of the Swedish Association of Health Professionals have been refusing to work overtime since April 25. As of Tuesday, the strike has expanded to include an additional 1,300 members, affecting the Värmland region and various other healthcare facilities.
The dispute centers on demands for reduced working hours, which the employers argue are economically unfeasible.
Despite ongoing negotiations, no end date is in sight for the strike.
The strike has been impacting major university hospitals and local health centers.
