The healthcare conflict in Sweden has intensified, with around 2,000 nurses set to strike on June 4. Elay Kameen Gul, a nurse from Malmö, highlights the extreme work pressure and mandatory overtime that endanger both staff and patient safety.
The Swedish Association of Health Professionals has expanded the strike warning to include an additional 1,900 members across two more regions, Värmland and Västmanland, starting June 11. SKR warns that the strike could pose an "acute danger to life" and lead to severe health consequences.
The ongoing conflict also includes a ban on overtime for approximately 68,000 members since April 25.
