The Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet) has announced a potential strike involving up to 3,900 members.
The strike is set to begin on June 4 if no agreement is reached with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) regarding shorter working hours and better working conditions.
Recent negotiations have led to the withdrawal of certain strike notices deemed dangerous to public safety, particularly in regions like Västra Götaland and Västerbotten.
However, the majority of the strike notices remain in place, highlighting ongoing tensions between the union and regional authorities.
The outcome of these negotiations could significantly impact healthcare services across Sweden.
