The conflict between the Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet) and the employers has been ongoing for four weeks.
The primary issue is working hours reduction, deemed essential by the union but too costly by employers.
Despite mediation efforts, no agreement was reached, leading to a blockade that started on April 25, where 63,000 members refuse overtime work and new hires are halted.
The situation escalated on May 21, with a strike warning in five regions affecting about 2,000 members from June 4, causing concerns over canceled vacations and surgeries.
Recently, mediation principles have been contested, with the union rejecting forced mediation proposed by the employers on May 23.
