Published: 2024-02-23

In a tragic case of mistaken identity, a 39-year-old father of young children was killed outside a restaurant in Huvudsta, Solna, when he was mistakenly targeted in a shooting.

Two men, aged 25 and 30, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder, which was described by the court as a "misdirected shooting".

The victim, who had no links to criminal activity, was dining with friends when the assailants erroneously attacked him, believing he was someone else.

Additionally, a 26-year-old man was sentenced for aiding the murder by providing the getaway vehicle and participating in planning the crime, while another individual received a sentence for protecting the criminals post-event.

The family of the deceased remains in deep mourning, struggling to comprehend the senseless loss.
