Published: 2024-02-07

In a significant development in a gang-related crime, four men have been charged with the execution-style murder of a 35-year-old man in Hagalund, Solna, which occurred on May 30th last year.

The murder is linked to a conflict between criminal networks in the Stockholm area.

According to prosecutor Josefine Dahlqvist, the planning and nature of the crime suggest it was a premeditated execution.

The investigation, bolstered by witness statements, surveillance footage, technical probes, and analyses of mobile phone content, has led to these charges.

One of the accused, a man in his twenties, was himself a victim of attempted murder and assault at the crime scene.

The case also involves charges for severe weapons violations and causing grievous bodily harm.

The incident, which took place in broad daylight near a school and a community center, has highlighted the ongoing issue of gang violence in the region.
