A man in his mid-50s was found severely injured in a water-filled ditch near Halmstad, Sweden, on Friday night.

He was found around 8:30 PM with an electric scooter.

The man was taken to hospital but could not be saved.

Police believe the man was hit by a vehicle and have launched an investigation into traffic negligence, hit-and-run, and causing another's death.

The man's relatives have been informed.
