An elderly man in his 80s has tragically passed away after being struck by a car in a roundabout in central Vetlanda on Monday afternoon.

Despite being rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, his life could not be saved.

Police have confirmed that the vehicle involved has been seized, and the incident is being investigated as causing another's death and traffic negligence.

However, no one has yet been formally charged.

The man's family has been informed of the accident, and authorities are working to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event.
