A man in his 60s has been charged with aggravated assault after a brutal attack on a female lawyer in April in Norrköping.

The lawyer was violently beaten in her apartment building, resulting in the loss of sight in one eye.

The man, who has been in custody since turning himself in the day following the attack, reportedly had professional contact with the victim.

He is suspected to be suffering from a severe mental disorder.

The case is being handled by Norrköping District Court.
