A man in his 20s has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old Joullnar, who disappeared in February last year and was found dead in a forest area a few weeks later.

The suspect, who has been in custody for nearly a year, is also accused of severe violation of grave peace.

He allegedly assaulted, restrained, and suffocated the victim to death in his residence before disposing of her body in the woods.

The motive behind the incident remains unclear as the suspect and the victim had randomly met a month prior and had seen each other a few times since.

The trial commences next week.
