Anna Kinberg Batra, the governor of Stockholm County, is under investigation by the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO) for allegedly breaking nepotism rules by hiring and setting the salaries for her personal friends at the County Administrative Board.
Among the scrutinized appointments is the hiring of a close friend with a monthly salary of 88,000 SEK, a decision made solely by Kinberg Batra.
Criticism also arises from the unconventional recruitment processes, including posting a job ad exclusively in the agency's reception and bypassing standard security checks before employment confirmation.
Legal experts argue that such actions clearly violate administrative laws, although they do not constitute a criminal offense.
