The Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman is expanding its investigation into recruitment practices at the Stockholm County Administrative Board, specifically scrutinizing appointments made by Governor Anna Kinberg Batra.

The probe now includes a third individual, the emergency preparedness chief, Mikael Jeppson, who reportedly did not meet the job requirements.

This follows allegations that Kinberg Batra hired two close friends for top positions within the administration, raising concerns about favoritism.

Over 20 complaints have been filed against Kinberg Batra's recruitment decisions, prompting a closer look by the Ombudsman into the transparency and fairness of these appointments.

The Stockholm County Administrative Board is expected to respond to inquiries regarding the recruitment process.
