Stockholm's County Governor, Anna Kinberg Batra, is under scrutiny for hiring a close friend, Anna Borgs, for a top position at the County Administrative Board with a monthly salary of 88,000 SEK using a note in the reception area.

This unconventional recruitment process, involving a job that only Borgs applied for, has sparked controversy and legal inquiries.

The County Administrative Board's legal counsel stated that normal procedures were not followed and announced a review of the recruitment processes to ensure compliance with employment regulations.

Criticism has also come from the Swedish Union of Civil Servants (ST), questioning if the hiring was conducted appropriately, and legal experts have ridiculed the method, suggesting it undermines transparency in public appointments.
