In a significant operation in Tyresö, south of Stockholm, four individuals were arrested following a counter-terrorism raid conducted by the Swedish Security Service (Säpo).

Among the arrested are two brothers in their twenties, suspected of preparing for a terrorist act and having connections to IS in Somalia, alongside two other men suspected of serious weapons offenses.

The court has since ordered the detention of all four on probable cause, indicating a high level of suspicion.

The investigation, led by senior prosecutor Lars Hedvall, remains tight-lipped, with details on the suspects' alleged terrorist plans and their connections to each other withheld to protect the integrity of the ongoing probe.
