In a significant operation in Tyresö, near Stockholm, the Swedish Security Service (Säpo) arrested four individuals, including two brothers in their twenties who recently converted to Islam, on suspicion of preparing for a terrorist act.

The arrests came after a detailed investigation, revealing potential links to the Islamic State in Somalia.

The individuals, who have all been requested to be detained on probable cause, are suspected of involvement in a terrorist organization and possession of illegal weapons.

According to reports, the brothers had become increasingly devout in recent months and were associated with an Islamic community center targeted in the raid.
