Västerås is gearing up for an influx of around 400,000 visitors as Cityfestivalen and SM-veckan coincide from June 26-30. To manage the crowds, police are ramping up surveillance with additional fixed cameras and drones.
The drone cameras, flying at 120 meters high, will provide crucial aerial views of the event.
According to police commander Lars Jansson, these measures are essential for crowd control and safety.
Regular police operations will continue as usual across the rest of the county.
