Security has been ramped up for Almedalsveckan 2023 in Visby, Sweden, due to heightened terror threat levels.
Jonathan Ahdrian, the head of security for Region Gotland, emphasized that multiple measures, including increased police presence, surveillance cameras, and no-drone zones, are in place to ensure the safety of the roughly 30,000 attendees.
Despite tightened security, the event aims to retain its open and welcoming atmosphere.
