Police in Västernorrland are increasing surveillance with the installation of more cameras.
Previously, cameras were set up in areas around Sundsvall, such as Nacksta, Skönsberg, and Centrum.
Now, fixed cameras have also been installed in Härnösand and Kramfors, with Örnsköldsvik next in line.
Christian Hald, responsible for police cameras in the region, explains that the move is supported by politicians, and the public feels safer.
Surveillance footage will only be reviewed when necessary, following incidents.
