A suspected dangerous object was discovered in a flower box on an inner courtyard in Uddevalla, leading to police action on Thursday evening.

The area was cordoned off as the National Bomb Squad was called to assess the situation.

Their evaluation confirmed the object as sharply dangerous, and it has since been handed over to their care.

A report concerning the laws on flammable and explosive materials has been filed, though no arrests have been made at this time.

The police have since vacated the scene, leaving the investigation in the hands of the bomb squad.
