A suspected dangerous object was discovered in a nature reserve in Åkered, southwestern Gothenburg, prompting an immediate response from the national bomb squad.
The alert was raised around 6:30 PM on Sunday, and bomb technicians were actively working on the scene to secure the object, as reported by the police.
The area was cordoned off as a precaution while the bomb squad assessed the situation.
The incident is being investigated as a serious crime against the law on flammable and explosive materials and preparation for general destruction.
No arrests have been made at this time.
