A suspected dangerous object found outside a villa in the Rosengård area of Malmö was destroyed by police on Saturday morning.

The National Bomb Squad was deployed to the scene after the object was discovered early in the morning, leading to the evacuation of nearby villas and a warning for residents to stay indoors.

The operation involved shooting the object to neutralize any potential threat.

No injuries were reported, and the area was cordoned off as investigations and searches for surveillance footage in the vicinity continued.

Police are now examining the remains of the object to determine its composition and origin, as part of an ongoing investigation into whether there was a specific threat to the residents.
