A 65-year-old woman has tragically died following a fire that erupted due to dry cooking in an apartment in Månsarp, south of Jönköping.

The police were alerted to the incident on Friday evening, arriving to find the apartment filled with smoke.

The woman was immediately taken to the hospital but unfortunately, her life could not be saved.

Authorities have informed the relatives and are handling the case, though no foul play is suspected at this time.
