A 65-year-old woman has tragically died following a fire in her apartment in Månsarp, south of Jönköping.

The fire, which is thought to have started due to dry cooking, filled the apartment with smoke.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the woman's life could not be saved.

The police have been notified and are handling the case, though no foul play is suspected at this time.

The woman's next of kin have been informed of the tragedy.
