A 65-year-old woman has died following a fire in her apartment in Månsarp, south of Jönköping, Sweden.

It is suspected that the fire was started by dry cooking.

The emergency services were alerted to the apartment around 10:30 PM on Friday evening, the apartment was filled with smoke and the woman was found.

She was taken to the hospital but could not be saved.

The police do not suspect any foul play.

In another incident, an unknown perpetrator threw an object through a window of a residential apartment in Malmö, causing an explosion.

No physical injury was reported.
